The International Energy Conservation Code (IECC) is a model code that regulates minimum energy conservation requirements for new buildings. The IECC addresses energy conservation require-ments for all aspects of energy uses in both commercial and residential construction, including heating and ventilating, lighting, water heating, and power. The Chicago Energy Conservation Code, Title 14N regulates matters related to the design, construction, and rehabilitation of new and existing buildings for energy efficiency. This code has been drafted to be consistent with the Illinois amendments to the International Energy Conservation Code.

Energy and Buildings is an international journal publishing articles with explicit links to energy use in buildings. The aim is to present new research results, and new proven practice aimed at reducing the energy needs of a building and improving indoor environment quality. Energy Conservation Dept Of Electrical Engineering 7 USE OF RENEWABLE ENERGY RESOURCES: Alternative resources i.e. renewable energy sources should be used in place of non-renewable energy sources e.g. solar energy, biogas, wind energy etc. Energy audits of homes, buildings, hotels and factories should be done at regular interval.

The editors, renowned academics, invited a diverse group of researchers to develop original chapters for the book and managed to well integrate all contributions in a consistent volume. Encouraged by the energy saving potential, the pilot project for ECBC got extended to showcase efficiency beyond ECBC.
The results have shown that the new building with all energy efficiency measures undertaken is likely to be 30% more efficient over the Energy Conservation building Code.

The conservation of fuel and power in buildings is an important part of the UK government's strategy to reduce national energy conservation. The revision to Part L of the Building Regulations, which came into force on 1 Aprillays down detailed and extensive requirements for conserving energy in almost all buildings and it covers most potential causes of building energy consumption.
The NC State Building Codes are effective as follows: January 1, Building, Energy Conservation, Existing Building, Fire, Fuel Gas, Mechanical, Plumbing, Residential; The NC Electrical Code is effective as follows: J ; The NC Existing Building Code is effective as follows: March 1, (until 12/31/17).
The Energy Conservation Building Code (ECBC), was launched by Ministry of Power, Government of India in Mayas a first step towards promoting energy efficiency in the building sector. The ECBC was developed by an Expert Committee, set up by India’s Bureau of Energy Efficiency.
The written public comment period expired on J The Building, Fire, Fuel Gas, Mechanical and Plumbing Codes were adopted Septem and the effective date is September 1, The Energy Conservation and Residential Codes were adopted Decem and the effective date is January 1, The high energy costs adversely affect all sectors of the economy and a determined effort to reduce the energy consumption and costs is, therefore, we need energy conservation and an energy efficient system in our homes as well as industrial and commercial sectors.
Energy is one of the major inputs for the industry and is the mainstay of the economic development of the country. However, energy conservation retrofits and better design are only part of the answer. Energy efficiency through education, awareness, and involvement is the key to a successful energy management program.
